This morning, Thursday morning, the introductory workshop for the project to support access to education services for students most at risk was launched in the districts of Al-Ta’izziah and Salah, with the presence of the directors of education for the two districts of Salah and Al-Ta’izziah, and the general director of the education office in the governorate, Mr. Abdul-Khaleq Al-Sarari. The workshop was opened by the manager of the Millennium Development Foundation (MDF), Mr. Lotfi Al-Huwaidi, and the project manager, Mr. Abdullah Al-Junaid, where the activities of the project were explained in detail. This was followed by a speech by the Director of Education in the governorate. The workshop discussed the objectives of education projects and their sustainability, as well as the necessary needs and priorities for schools. The difficulties and obstacles that the educational process is going through under the current circumstances and the lack of support were also discussed. It is worth mentioning that the project activities include renting buses to transport school students with physical disabilities in addition to providing a number of wheelchairs for the physically challenged – providing incentives for volunteer female teachers – providing school and recreational bags – providing students with personal hygiene tools – and procuring and distributing desks for students
