وقد تمحورت الدورة حول ادوات التقييم الاولي (IST) والتي هي عبارة عن اداة تقييم سريع تستخدم من قبل منظمات العمل الانساني لاجراء تقييم سريع وتحليل للتأثيرات الحاصلة على السكان والمتضررين والناتجة عن اي حوادث مفاجئة.
وكذلك تنسيق التقييمات الاولية وهو عنصرا هاما في انقاذ الارواح واستعادة سبل عيش الناس جنبا الي جنب مع الاستعداد لحالات الطواري.
