Millennium Development Foundation (MDF) is a humanitarian and development organization established in 2003 for effective partnership in mobilizing resources and empowering the most vulnerable communities to improve their livelihoods and enhance participation in humanitarian response to achieve sustainable development goals.
-The Area Office Head is responsible for Supervising the management of the branch’s activities in the field of project management, coordination with clusters, reporting and preparing strategies and plans for those activities to achieve the required goals and work to motivate the branch’s employees and evaluate performance.
– The ability to create relationships with external parties, which facilitates the work of the institution in the process of completing its transactions by exercising the duties and powers granted to it in accordance with the instructions in force by the management of the institution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Summary :
The Area Manager is responsible for the realisation of the project goals within the programme area; manage and oversee the field office, and represent MDF in the programme area
Tasks, responsibilities, results
The Area office Manager is reporting to the Programme Manager and his/her responsibility are :
Leadership and management
- Responsible for all MDF activities within programme area;
- Member of Programme Management Team (PMT);
- Ensuring that implementation is timely and of excellent quality and accurately achieves project outcomes and goals
- Ensure the projects are implemented within the budget
- Ensure that implementation is in adherence to MDF mechanisms and policies, as well as international standards such as CHS, gender marker policies, as well as international standards such as CHS, gender marker, Code of conduct, etc.
Programme Management
- Contribute to the development of the Programme plan for the respective programme area, with annual review of needs for changes, based on ongoing context analysis and results of annual programme review;
- Contribute to MDF’s project cycle management, including needs assessments, formulation of concept notes and proposals and budget;
- Reporting – Contribute to monthly and quarterly activity and financial reporting, including realization of activities versus budget utilisation
- (Provide Input to the Programme Manager) for annual and progress reports and plans as required.
- Providing input to the Programme Manager for narrative and financial donor reporting.
HR/admin/finance
- Human Resource Management (at individual- and team level) for field based staff;
- Implementation and monitoring of financial, personnel, logistic, administration and security policies and procedures.
- Responsible for facilitation and the security of internal and external visitors during their field trips
Coordination & liaison
- Represent MDF at governorate level to government authorities and local leaders
- Represent MDF in cluster and other coordination meetings
- dealing with implementing partners, local authorities and other stakeholders
- ensure that subsidiary agreements are signed at governorate level
- ensure that travel permits are obtained for the field based staff

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in business administration or project management.
- Experience at least 7 years in the same field.
- Good written and spoken English
- Good computer skills

- Ability to prepare periodic and annual reports.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure
